Fanfics: Drowned Out

Annie's worried about Katniss. She's worried that if she runs off anymore their secret will be found out. She's worried that Finnick won't let her see Katniss anymore. She doesn't want that. Annie really does love Katniss, but, she also loves Finnick. Whose heart should she break to make the other last?

Katniss stood up, ran out of Annie's reach and stormed out of the room. Johanna just smiled, she wanted Katniss to leave. "Katniss where are you going?" "Leave her alone, Annie." Johanna smirked. "Leave her alone? Are you serious? What do you think you're doing?! Leave us alone Johanna!" She stood up. "Why would I leave you alone?" "Because! Just leave!" Johanna walked towards her and pushed her down the bed. "What the hell are you doing?" She seemed to smile, Annie started to understand why she's doing this. "Leaving you alone." Johanna whispered. Annie tried to stand. Johanna pushed her back down, pinned her hands and kissed her.

Annie broke free and pushed her away. "What the hell are you doing?!" Without a word Johanna left the room, and left Annie confused. She rushed outside looking for Johanna. She ran down the halls hoping to catch up with her. She has a lot of explaining to do. Annie's heart didn't speed up, which is good. She heated up, though, filled with anger. She caught up with the District 7 woman. "Johanna!" she shouted, Johanna kept walking away. "Johanna Mason! Johanna stop!" She screamed at the top of her lungs, the auburn-haired woman finally stopped and turned around. Tears were in her eyes. "You're crying..."

Annie couldn't bring herself to say anything else. "It's Katniss." Johanna whispered, "I kissed you to see... what she tastes like." Something stirred inside Annie's heart, something heavy. A confession? Katniss isn't here. "Why are you telling me this?" She choked back a laugh and smirked at Annie, still looking sad. Johanna didn't say a word and just walked away again. Since Annie was still a good distance away from her, she ran. She ran for Johanna like she was her lifeline, and once she did reach her she did something just not quite her.

She grabbed her shoulder, spun her around and slapped her as hard as she can. Her left cheek turned painfully red. Johanna just smiled. "Leave. Katniss. Alone. I will not let you steal her away from me. I don't want to see you within five feet of her." Annie glared. She could see sadness in Johanna's eyes. Should she care? She doesn't know. She feels hurt herself. Annie's sanity just came back and it's being tested right away. "Five feet?" Johanna smirked, she put her lips right next to Annie's ear, "Angel, I'm her roommate. I can do things to her you wouldn't know about. And you can't do anything... anything at all... about it."

She felt the woman's hot breath beside her. She can tell Johanna was smiling, and those words seem to flutter in the air around her. She turned back around and left Annie by herself again. With the realization that Johanna likes Katniss, and the fact that they're roommates, just devastates her. Her heart felt even heavier than when she first kissed the 74th victor. She took a deep breath trying to collect herself, and failed. She slumped right down in the middle of the hallway, crying her heart out, alone and even more lonely than before.

Johanna had the upperhand. She's roommates with Katniss. She can have her all night, something Annie desperately wants. Johanna's trying to manipulate her, and she doesn't know what to do about it. Drowned in her thoughts, Annie almost forgot where she was. A hand appeared over her shoulder. She looked over and saw a familiar face: Finnick.

"Annie, what's wrong?"
